Lots of moving vans this week. Many people are moving on, hopefully, to bigger and better things. They look tired from moving large pieces of furniture and sweaty from the intense heat. But they also look as though it's worth it.

Why else would they spend several hours in the 100 degree heat moving several hundred pounds (if not more) worth of personal items and furniture into a large vehicle where they'll have to do the same thing on the other end.

As I sit in the cool air and watch through the window I wonder how often we go through times like that in life. Not just about moving from one place to another, but in other areas of life. There's an old saying, "Those who have a why, can endure any how." What are the things we get up in the morning to do and won't let anything in our way to get done? What thoughts keep us up at night because we're so excited about them? Why do so many of us sit and watch as others work really hard to achieve something, despite any obstacles or challenges?

I think summer is a great time to sit, think, and reevaluate what we're doing, decide on what actions to take to change (or not change), and go about doing what it is to get us where we want to be. So, go ahead, get started. I'm already on my feet to move, are you?
