Mendeley is the reference manager you need. It generates citations and bibliographies in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, and LaTeX. You can read and annotate as you go along. Just open a PDF and save your thoughts with sticky notes and highlights.
You can also add and organize inside Mendeley. Simply import PDFs from other programs like EndNote, Papers or Zotero and find them according to date imported, author, keyword, tag, title, and more. Once you've started with Mendeley it's easy to collaborate with other colleagues or authors. You can securely share papers, including all of your notes and annotations.
Backup is automatic or click Sync and all documents, notes, and highlights are sent to the cloud where you can access them through a web browser or mobile device (iPhone, iPad, etc.).
