When the school year ends and you're no longer going to the classroom each day it can be difficult to 'wind down.' The last few weeks of school can be a whirlwind of activity and stress. Now that it's over, decisions need to be made over what to do during the summer break.

Most teachers are readers. They have to be get all the lesson plans prepared, assignments graded, and evaluation forms complete. Over the summer there's more of an opportunity to choose what you'd like to read. You may have a list of books you'd like to dive into, but if you're not sure, here is a list of books I recommend that just might change they way you teach, how you look at your work, strategies for classroom management, and generally getting things done in the classroom.

In no particular order:

- Teaching With Love and Logic, Jim Fay and David Funk
- Getting Things Done, David Allen
- A Whole New Mind, Dan Pink
