Mendeley helps organize, share, and discover the documents you already have, or may look for in the future. Just click and drag any document into the Mendely desktop and it will automatically find all the important information (title, author, keywords, and more). You can highlight, add sticky notes, share, or just read.
Mendeley is helpful in the classroom for researching topics and saving all of the relevant information. Tag it with the name of your topic and Mendeley keeps it organized for you.
When the teacher sends a document, or asks you to download one from a website, put it into Mendeley and you'll have access to it from the home computer, your mobile phone or tablet, and at school through any web browser. Any highlights, annotations, or sticky notes you add will sync will all the devices and places you access your documents.
If you're working in a group, share a document and allow everyone to make comments with sticky notes and highlight in different colors to see what each member thinks is most important. Your group can also join a Mendeley public group to expand the network of people you can gather ideas and information from.
You can also discover new papers that help you understand the topic you are currently working on. Just type in some keywords in the search bar through the Mendeley site and you have access to millions of papers from authors all over the world.
With Mendeley's social networking capabilities you can build an online prescence by creating profile, publicizing any papers you've written, and share your research with the rest of the Mendeley world.
