My wife and I celebrated this week as our six month old son had his first two teeth come in. It was so much fun as the grandparents came over to share in the joy and laughter. My son was so happy and it made us all smile with pride.

This reminds me of how little things can make such a big difference.  My wife and I we so excited to see those little white crowns, which made my son smile and laugh. And when the grandparents arrived to share more excitement it made it such a memorable moment.

We should celebrate little things like this more often. Getting a first tooth is such a natural thing, and everyone goes through it, but how often is it celebrated? How many other things in life are seemingly small, yet could be celebrated? Completing a challenging project? Paint a room in the house? Re-organize an entire room? Improve an entire letter grade? Finished playing a difficult song without stopping?

We're not saying you have to put up streamers, make a cake, and invite everyone in the neighborhood everytime you complete something, but how often do we stop and celebrate accomplishing little things in life? Let's celebrate more!
