In March 2009 Google opened the Google Apps Marketplace. This service provides a customizable Google account where a person can choose the Google products they would like to use, all in one place.
Google Apps offers many web-based applications that work similar to the traditional office products. These include, Gmail, Calendar, Sites, Docs, Talk, and many other options.
Schools and government have jumped on board and incorporated Google Apps into what they do. In April 2010, Oregon Public Schools announced it would be the first to use Google Apps for Educaton in K-12 schools statewide.
Last month, Governor Matt Mead announced that the state of Wyoming has transitioned to Google Apps for Government. Since the decision, more than 10,000 state employees have moved over to Google Apps.
