Yesterday we showed you a great website for finding volunteer opportunities over the summer. Since there's a few months away from school, many of you might wander what you'll do with that time off.
Earlier in the week we also mentioned some steps for repairing old pictures. What better time to scan and correct those old pictures?
Well, here's another great example of something to learn over the summer that could benefit you and your students (if you're a teacher, or, even a parent). Freetech4teachers.com has a few great tutorials for creating videos using JayCut.
JayCut is a web-based video editing site that allows users to upload video and edit it into a movie for free! JayCut has a simple and user friendly appearance that makes it simple for anyone, including novices, to make a great looking movie.
So, teachers can brush up on their technology skills and learn to use a great new tool, parents can take all of the summer movie footage and put in into a new family movie collage, and students can a head start on technology skills for the upcoming year by putting together a video of their summer adventures to show to everyone when the new school year starts!
Head on over to Freetech4teachers.com to see the great tutorials.
