Google Wallet

It use to be that we carried around an iPod, cell phone, wallet, and a note pad all the time (OK, I carried all those around). Well, iPhones came out and put the iPod, cell phone, and note pad together. But if you're good at math, that still leaves 2 things to lug around.

Google is attempting to change that, as well, and make it to where we only need 1 gadget in our pocket. Google has partnered with several other companies (Citi, Mastercard, First Data and Sprint) to create an app that turns your phone into a wallet.

The app allows you to pay at the register by waving your phone over a near field communication (NFC) device. This will also allow you to store credit cards, offers, loyalty cards, and gift cards. Someday, Google hopes this will lead to storing things like boarding passes, tickets, ID and keys!!
