Idealist for Summer Volunteer Opportunities

It's bound to happen very soon (if it hasn't happened already). Asking yourself, what am I going to do this summer?

If you're in education you most likely have official days off for summer break (although who doesn't work over the summer doing something?).

If you need some ideas for things to do, see idealist.org. This website has some amazing resources, in particular, for people interested in volunteer work. Part of the vision of idealist.org is to give every person who wants to help another the ability to do so.

As of this writing, there are over 12,000 opportunities to volunteer in countries all over the world in more than 50 different areas of focus; including Victim Support, Prison Reform, Poverty and Hunger, Mental Health and a host more.

We often say to ourselves that we need to, 'get away from it all,' for a while. This might just be your ticket. And you'll be helping others in the process.

Visit idealist.org to login and become part of a growing volunteer community.
