GarageBand for Administrators

School administrators should be digital. Students already are, and faculty should be leading the way. After all, we are thinking, acting, learning, and playing in a digital world.

GarageBand is one great program administrators can use to connect with students and faculty in a way that enhances digital skills and abilities. With GarageBand, an application that comes with every Mac computer, administrators can record and import sounds to edit, remix, and share.

A few of the great things administrators can do with GarageBand include:
  • Record an inspirational talk and allow everyone to download it to their iPods or other devices
  • Create a weekly or monthly podcast highlighting all the great work from students and faculty and answer any questions
  • Remix popular songs or recordings to include lyrics about school guidelines so everyone will remember what's important
  • Record interviews with high achieving students and faculty and make them available on the school website
  • Record parents or important local figures giving a motivational talk and play it to inspire students
  • Ask faculty to record tips and strategies for success at school and share with students
GarageBand is a great tool for creating fun digital projects that help connect a school.
