Delicious for Administrators

School administrators are challenged to keep up with technology they're asked to install into their own schools. As more districts strive for 1:1 environments where each student has a laptop (or equivalent), administrators need to be up-to-date with the complexities of the Internet. It is so vast, with so many helpful resources and ideas, it can be difficult to keep tabs on it.

When it comes to saving any helpful websites or online resources, Delicious is one possibility. It's a social bookmarking tool that allows administrators to save website URLs, organize them into 'stacks,' then share them with whomever they may need.

If an administrator is working on a teacher presentation for the next staff meeting and finds several helpful tutorial videos, a great article, and some interesting pictures that could help, saving the URLs in Delicious and naming them Staff Presentation 1 will keep them neat and organized. Before the presentation, the resources and be shared in a single link to the entire faculty to easily access before and after the presenation.

When working on an important presentation to students, create a 'stack' and share the link on the school website for students to access wherever they are and whenever it may be needed.

With so many administrators connected with technology and easily sharing resources back and forth with one another, Delicious makes saving and organizing online resources easy. With customizable sharing options, administrators have the opportunity to share specific (group) links with those that benefit most.
