There have been several tropic storms to blow through eastern North Carolina in the last week. We've had heavy rain, flash flooding, down tree limbs and much more. My dog has been scared, staying behind the bed with her tail between her legs.

Storms can be scary. Some may think that they're inconvenient. But my wife and I really enjoyed watching and listening to the wind, rain, and thunder with our 7 month old son. The flashes of light, constant tapping of rain drops, and blowing of leaves and tree limbs was fun.

The end of the storm brings a nice calm and beautiful skies. The rainbows are a nice sign that everything is ok and the rain was necessary (our rainbow is pictured below). God's way of cleaning things out.

As the school year comes to a close look for the rainbows. As the saying goes, "If you want rainbows, you have to make it through the rain."
