Alice for Teachers

Engaging students can be a challenge. When you make it to the end of bag of tricks and they're still not impressed or interested it can cause you to scramble for ideas.

Alice is a program teachers something difficult in a fun way. If you, or your students, ever wondered how computers and computer software work, this is a program that will teach some of the basics.

The biggest appeal of Alice is the opportunity to create 3D animated movies and games. Teachers can make their own animated short films to teach and/or demonstrate content and ideas. They can also create games that teach or reinforce concepts so students aren't just filling out worksheets, but engaging with the material and gaining a deeper level of understanding.

Whether a teacher wants to make a short film to demonstrate the dangers of lab chemicals, make a game that teaches basic Algebra principles, recreate a scene from the current novel, or highlight some of the achievements of a historical figure, all of this can be done with Alice and a few step-by-step tutorials inside the program.
