Screencast-O-Matic for Teachers

Time in a classroom can be very short. A lot has to happen in a little time. Some questions are answered, and others are delayed or not covered because class ends.

Screencast-O-matic is a tool teachers can use to create videos of their computer screen. This is very helpful in a classroom because every question should be viewed as important, and answered in one form or another.

Teachers can use this simple tool to create a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page on their website filled with short and helpful screencast videos. In particular, questions that are asked many times, either by students, parents, or administrators can be answered by directing them to specific videos on the FAQ page.

Videos can be recorded to answer questions such as:

- How do I contact the teacher?
- Where do I submit digital assignments?
- What is the class grading policy and how is it calculated?
- How do I schedule a teacher meeting?
- How do I access my child's grade online?
- Does my teacher like to teach? What do they like to do besides teach?
