Wikispaces for Students

Wikis are great for students. They're easy to setup, quick to learn to use, and simple to manage. Students can create their own wiki and then allow guests to edit the site as they wish.

This makes it easy to keep all of their digital work in one place. They can create pages for each class/subject, projects/groups, and extra curricular activities or clubs.

It's easy to type in, embed, add, publish, or code (HTML, etc.) in anything that's needed. Whether it's typing a poem for Language Arts, Lab Report for Science, a .pdf of Math homework, or meeting minutes from student government, everything is where they need it and when they need it.

Wikispaces makes it easy for students to collaborate on projects. By clicking Manage Wiki, students can give access to fellow classmates so work can be done whether group members are in the same physical area of not, and be completed at school or at home.

Since Wikispaces has few limitations, rules, or constraints, students are free to customize their site as they please, add or change things at their own will, and allow outside 'help' to make their site the best it can be! Students are only limited by their own imagination!

Wikispaces is a great tool for keeping students organized. It acts as a storage space for files, text, and documents, a collaboration tool for personal or group work and communication, and one stop shop for archiving work and creating an online portfolio to showcase talents and interests.
