Goals for 2012

It feels different, but good to say 2012. New years are always an adjustment. Just as you get use to writing and saying the new year it's time to start another. That's why it's important to have goals at the beginning of the year.

It's also important to write your goals down. Sharing them also makes you more accountable because others are aware of your goals. This is why we're sharing our 2012 goals with you! Hopefully it will inspire you to write down some goals, but also keep us accountable for achieving ours.

The criteria we use for our goals are simple. They need to be a little more than what you think you can achieve (to make sure they're challenging), they should be specific (so they're not vague enough for you to skip out on them and not try), and measurable (so you know exactly when you achieve it, or how much more you needed to do to reach it).

Here are our 2012 Goals:

1. Write great educational technology posts that help students, teachers, and administrators every day of the year.
2. Visit and comment on at least 3 other blogs each week to connect with other educational technologists.
3. Make our site more interactive by incorporating polls, surveys, and/or opinion questions inside posts once per month.

We're keeping our list short so that it doesn't become complicated. We look forward to working on, and achieving all of our goals.

To get things started with this year's goals, what are YOUR 2012 Goals? If you don't have your goals down yet, start now and share them with us! We'll work together and keep each accountable!
