Blogger For Teachers

Keeping everything in one place is very helpful for teachers. File cabinets, supply closets, and gradebooks are all staples of an organized classroom.

But what about the Internet? With billions of websites and tons of information, how does a teacher help students organize, and make sense, of all that digital information?

Blogger is one way teachers can accomplish many things in one place. With a blog, teachers can:
  • Make announcements
  • Post assignments
  • Collect homework
  • Share links
  • Connect with students
  • Quiz for assessment
  • Comment for feedback
  • Teach whenever/wherever
  • Flip the classroom
  • Share thoughts and ideas on topics
  • Embed helpful videos
  • Publish contact information

With technology changing, shaping, and reshaping our lives, teachers should stay up-to-date on these technological changes. Since many students are "digital natives," teachers should make sure they understand the power of technology so they can help students maneuver in a sometimes uncertain digital landscape.

Blogs allow teachers to connect with other educators and learn important technology lessons that can be passed on to students and parents. Teachers need to do the best they can to be the technology leader in the classroom and not just a bystander or nervous constrainer of technology.
