Blogger For Students

Blogging isn't writing, blogging is blogging. Students lose interest in writing too soon. Somewhere around middle school it isn't fun, or cool, anymore to write down your thoughts and share your feelings.

Some students will keep a journal, or write a few things down and keep it locked in a drawer or stashed away in the closet. It's never shared or read, it just sits there collecting dust.

Blogger is a fun, and cool, way to share what's on students' minds. In addition to writing text, students can upload images and photos, embed video, share links, and make comments. Blogger serves as a digital hub for students to have their own voice on the web and organize the world's information from their personal perspective.

With Blogger, students can:
  • Blog about summer vacation, with images and videos to support
  • Write book reviews from the summer reading list
  • Check out upcoming classes and teachers' blogs before the school year starts
  • Follow a favorite author's blog for additional insight into a novel
  • Embed photos and videos from interesting current events
  • Share helpful math tutorials
  • Interview scientists and post the transcript
  • Reenact a scene from a favorite play (get classmates involved) and post the video
  • Comment on other blogs to be part of a great conversation

There are many more ways a student can use Blogger for school and personal interests. But they're not writing, they're Blogging!
