Diigo for Students

Students love not having to remember stuff. As a former middle school teacher, I didn't have to remind most students not to bring 'stuff' to class. I learned early on that whatever students needed in my classroom, we needed to store in the room and not have them remember to bring it every day.

Students will love using Diigo in the classroom because they don't HAVE to remember anything from the Internet. All the websites, highlights, sticky notes, annotations, and more are stored on Diigo's server. Students login to their Diigo account (ok, they have to remember that!) from any device they choose-- Android, iPad, iPhone, computer lab-- and all their information is there to use.

Students can also use Diigo to:
  • Categorize Sites by title, note, keyword, lists, or group
  • Share Sites with classmates
  • Look through previous student projects from last year
  • Save a screenshot of a Site to observe how it changes over time
  • View annotations and highlights from other students
  • Comment on other classmates' or group's bookmarks
  • Add annotations, images, or comments to online textbooks or material
  • Use sticky notes to summarize what they've read on a Site
  • Recall Sites to help document sources for papers and projects
