In a similar way, you can set up Google Calendar for students. Have them create their own calendar and share it with you. Then, whenever you would like to set up in-class meetings, create personalized assignment due dates, or send important reminders (let them know a project is due soon), you can do it without all the other students knowing.
Setting up Google Calendars and adding all the student calendars to yours can take a few minutes to set up, but you'll have use of it throughout the year.
