Teacher Technology Use Up 50%

Things are changing and that's a good thing. A recent Project Tomorrow survey of almost 300,000 students, 42,000 parents, 35,500 teachers, 2,000 librarians, 3,500 school or district administrators, and 1,400 technology leaders revealed that technology use in schools and classrooms is on the rise.

The number of educators using and incorporating technologies such as podcasts and videos into their teaching and lesson plans has increased 50% since 2008. The surveys also found that the use of personal technology such as smartphones and social-networking sites by teachers is steadily growing.

But remember that this is only half the story. There is still a large percentage of teachers, administrators, and students who are either not able to use or not understand HOW to use, technology as a tool to aid learning.

We don't want those behind to fall further away. That's why we're such advocates for a simple and efficient plan to understand and implement technology. We believe CATCHsystem can help anyone with the desire to use technology, whether an advanced user or timid beginner. Our system will CATCH you exactly where you are and move you to the place you want to be.

It's pretty simple, follow the 5 Baby Steps:

1. Messaging
2. Productivity
3. Sites
4. Documents
5. Media

It's great to see technology use on the rise, now lets get the other half moving so we, and most importantly students, can all benefit! :)
