A World Without Google

It's getting to be that A World Without Google is just like a world without gasoline automobiles. They have both become such a large part of our daily activities that they have become verbs and not just nouns.

When someone says the ride to work today was long, we automatically assume that they rode in a car and not on a horse or donkey. When we don't know or can't remember something, we simply Google it. Google has become a part of our memory, storing important information or making it easy to access the information we know is there.

Google continues to evolve and make more valuable information available in many forms. No longer do we search for information and websites, we search for images, videos, directions, and people. It's hard to see A World Without Google. If you don't believe it, try out the old saying, "you don't realize what you have until it's gone." Go without using any Google tools for a day, week, or month.

Alltop released an infographic recently that helps put things into perspective, just in case we end up without Google someday.
