Are Colleges Meeting Students' Communication Standards?

Walk through most college campuses these days and...well, try to walk through them, anyway. It can be difficult. YOU watch where you're going, but other students may not. They're often looking down at their cell phone sending a text message, watching a video on their iPod, or skateboarding. Ok, maybe not skateboarding as much, but they communicate to one another constantly. Whether through cell phones, laptops, iPads or more, they depend on communication and the tools that make it possible and instant.

A recent study on the 'Communication Effectiveness in Higher Education' from the Platt Retail Institute and the Chicago School of Professional Psychology says that 97% of college students prefer to receive digital messages over email, text, digital signage and websites. This is in contrast to the fact that most Universities continue to use older and less effective media channels like radio and television.

So the question remains, Are Colleges Meeting Students' Communication Standards? You could Lower Your Blood Pressure and find out for yourself at the same time!
