Britain's Secretary of Education, Michael Gove, recently recommended British kids be reading about 50 books a year. His was targeting 11 year olds in an effort to increase literacy.
The Independent, Britain's newspaper asked some of the country's best authors and a few in-house journalists to rank some of the top kid books. The final list is of 50 Books Every Kid Should Read. The full story and list can be found HERE, but here are a few of the top picks:
