Keynote for Administrators

School administrators give some of the same speeches and presentations every year. They typically include, but are not limited to, the beginning of the year presentation to students to welcome them (back), mid year pep talk that highlight achievements and discuss improvements, and and end of year rally to finish strong.

Keynote can help administrators make these presentations more memorable and unique to the audience and situation.

Start with blank Keynote slides and then begin adding images and videos from past years and current students and faculty. Focus on collecting things that highlight what you want the audience to do, and get hooked into achieving. Once you've found just the right ones, drag and drop them into any slide.

Click the Inspector button to open options to animate and add effects. This can help make images move around on the screen, flip, dissolve, drop, and more. Adding a few animations will keep the audience engaged.

Once you've added the videos you want, adjust the automatic start and stop time or set it up to start and stop with a click in order to introduce the video to your audience.

When images and videos are in place, write short text descriptions and expand on it during the lesson to keep the classroom engaged.

Keynote tutorials can be found on the Apple website.
