QR Codes for Teachers

Time is a valuable commodity in the classroom. But, it seems that more technology does to make work faster and more efficient the more work we have to make up for it.

It's the same with the Internet and information. The more the Internet grows and the more information there is to share, the more need there is for tools and strategies to fit.

QR Codes are one way for teachers to pack a lot of information into a small package. When sending home flyers for the beginning of the school year there's no need for multiple pages of information, just list a few of the most important items and then insert a QR Code to direct parents to a website(s) with lots more information, forms, helpful tutorials, or videos.

When emailing colleagues or administrators, instead of sending long explanations, include a QR Code or two that lead them to websites that further explain a point or idea.

During lessons refer students to specific QR Codes on the walls so they can go back and watch the lesson again online or find additional resources on the same topic.

When it comes to project time, create a poster with lots of QR Codes that direct students to great resources to help spark ideas or support research.

Whatever the situation, the QR Codes help to pack lots of information into a little box.
