Delicious in the Classroom

We've all been there as teachers (or just me), we heard about or remember a great website that would be perfect for an upcoming lesson. It has great images, explanations, and a video! But, you can't remember what it is or where to find it. You get frustrated and can't make your lesson plan because that would be lesson.

If you only you had a way to save the link to that website and be able to organize it with all the other links. Well, Delicious can do that. It's a social bookmarking tool that allows you to save and organize thousands of websites and easily share them.

Students can use Delicious to save lots of helpful links when completing projects, completing homework assignments, saving resources for a club or organization, or a sports team. Then, 'stacks' of links can be shared with each group so everyone has what they need.

Teachers can use Delicious to group links for specific lessons, chapters, units, projects, or student work. The links can be shared with other classes, administration, parents, and community members.

Administrators are often given lots of resources from helpful parents, friendly colleagues, and even students. Keeping up with al of them can be a challenge. Delicious keeps all URL's in one place and allows for control over who you'd like to share the links with.
