Although most young people see it as time off from school without work, I remember my dad getting us to mow the yard, pull weeds, clip trees, help with garden, washing the cars, and more. After a few weeks 'off' from work at school we wanted to go back to reading, writing, and arithmetic!
I hope you'll see summer in a similar fashion; a time for fun, sun, and run, but also an opportunity to work on what's necessary. Whether that's getting the house back up to standards, starting the new garden you've been talking about, starting a running schedule to get back in shape, or reading the book(s) you've been putting off because of other obligations.
Use this holiday weekend of movement and travel to get you inspired to do all the summer things you would like to get done!
