Scribd for Teachers

Teachers use filling cabinets. That's not a bad thing; they're reliable, easy to use and understand, and at-hand when needed.

Scribd is a filing cabinet for your writing, except that it's easier to share! Teachers can upload their work and share it with administrators, colleagues, parents, and students. The big advantage of Scribd is that it moves with you, wherever you go, with no heavy lifting.

Teachers can share important documents with administrators. Whether it's lesson plans, school improvement documents, leave requests, or more, it's easily uploaded and shared through Scribd.

Teachers can share documents with colleagues. If you have a great lesson, lab, visual, or chart, it can be shared with colleagues at the same school or across the country. Recipients have the option of viewing or downloading the document to use as they need.

Teachers can share with parents. Field trip permission slips, supply lists, extra credit work, and more can be sent to parents so there's no worry about losing important papers to the backpack monster.

Teachers can share documents with students. The word worksheet has such a stigma; why not share a .pdf, ask students to download, then send a digital copy to the teacher's inbox. Doesn't that sound more fun?

Scribd allows teachers to upload and share their work easily. It also demonstrates 21st century technology skills to students, parents, and administrators. Start today and see the impact in your classroom.
