After difficulty staying focused and interested in school work, his chemistry teacher made a last stitch effort to connect. She pulled him aside and asked, "What would make you interested in learning what I'm teaching?" Eric was stumped, but managed to utter, "how about we get everyone working on computers together? I'll build the software so all of us can be connected."
That was the start of ClassConnect. Along the way Eric has become consumed with finding out how teachers teach and students learn. He even became obsessed with figuring out how to share knowledge more efficiently. He learned as a student that he and his peers learned better using videos and websites.
While working with teachers and getting lots of feedback about ClassConnect he had a 'eureka' moment; teachers can give students great content and let them work collaboratively using web tools. Eric made ClassConnect THE place for teachers to find, build, and share the content!
Eric is now working on ClassConnect full time, forgoing college, because he's found the thing in life he's most passionate about. Now, the job is to pass the excellent tool onto teachers and make it as easy to use as possible!
