Xtranormal for Students

Students want learning to be fun. They learn more, pay closer attention, and have good conversations with the teacher and each other when they're having a good time.

Xtranormal is a resource for helping to make learning fun. With Xtranormal any user can create short movies that feature 3D animated characters. Users type in the words or record their voice and the characters act out the words.

Students can have lots of fun with Xtranormal, using it in the classroom for:

- Book review projects in Language Arts
- Summarizing Lab Reports in Science
- Explaining steps in an Algebra equation for Math class
- Making a news report for a Current Events project in Social Studies
- Practicing a new language in Spanish class
- Explain rules of a new game for PE
- Share the history behind a piece of music in Band
- Have 'the artist' explain his interpretation of a work in Art class

One aspect of learning that can be a great challenge for students is presenting in front of peers. With Xtranormal, students can record their own voice, but have an animated character do the presenting for them. With the option to choose different characters, backgrounds, and camera angles, students can make it their own. This gives students that little something Xtra to make learning fun!
