Symbaloo in the Classroom

Symbaloo is a great and easy way to display your favorite Sites and links. It can also be a great way to differentiate and personalize instruction for your students.

We've talked about setting up Gmail and Google Calendar for each student. You can do the same with Symbaloo, but have the students create their own. You can make suggestions for Sites and links you think certain students will find interesting or helpful.

When it comes project time, allow students to use the Sites, applications, or links on their Symbaloo page. With enough variety of links and applications on each student's page, you're set up for students presenting similar information in lots of different ways. No more sitting through 35 Powerpoints!

One students might create a Glogster with links and videos, another student might make an Animoto video with images, and another student might like to create their own website with Weebly. There are many more ways students can present what they know, so let them fill their Symbaloo page with lots of links and applications!
