Twitter is a great tool for connecting with others who share the same ideas, passions, and professions. It's also a great tool for managing all the people, groups, and hashtags you want to keep up with.
If you haven't hear about it, here's your chance to use TweetDeck. Now that you're following a few dozen, or a few thousand people, TweetDeck will allow you to keep track of all the tweets out there.
For instance, keep your normal friends tab open, then make another tab for the #iste11 tag we mentioned yesterday, then open another for your favorite subject area chat (#edchat), keep a tab for your mentions (when others mention you), and then experiment with any other streams you'd like.
That may be a little too fast for some of you, but that's how education is sometimes. You often have to use something before you see the purpose of it. For those of you who are new to TweetDeck, here's a great tutorial:
