Yesterday, we talked about Google Apps Groups. Today, we'd like to share another way to get a group of like-minded educators together.

Tumblr let's you share anything. They allow you to easily post text, photos, links, music, and videos. If you're savvy enough, posting to your Tumblr blog can be done from your phone, browser, desktop, or email. You can easily customize everything, from your theme to your photos.

One of the best and newest features of Tumblr is Submissions. This allows multiple authors to contribute to one Blog, giving teachers on the same team, grade level, school, and so on, the ability to contribute to one site. Parents could enjoy an all-in-one location for their students' info.

This could also give teachers an opportunity to team up with colleagues in other states or countries. Learning and leading with technology to make everyone better at what they do.

Tumblr is known for making Blogging extremely easy. So now collaborators have the opportunity to connect without technology getting in the way of great learning and conversation.

Consider giving Tumblr a try and see if the Submissions option makes your classroom more productive. For a simple, step-by-step tutorial, view Sarah Kessler's article on How To: Create a Group Tumblr Blog.
