Are You A 21st Century Teacher?

As the school year comes to a close and you fill out your end of year evaluation forms, this may be a good time to ask yourself what kind of teacher you are. Traditional, progressive, disciplined, free spirited, 21st century, stone age.

Ok, you might sense a little bias as to what we think you should consider, but just like John Lennon, we're not thing only ones. On the Technology Bits Bytes & Nibbles blog, there is a good list of 21 Signs You're a 21st Century Teacher (click to read the full list).

Our favorite signs include:

-You require your students to use a variety of sources for their research projects...and they cite blogs, podcasts, and interviews they've conducted via Skype.
-You ask your students to do a character/historical person study...and they create mock social media profiles of their character.
-Your students create a study guide...working together on a group wiki.
-You share lesson plans with your teacher friends..from around the globe.
-Your classroom budget is tight...but it doesn't matter because there are so many free resources on the web you can use.
