If you're like us, we're learning more and more great ways to use Dropbox all the time. The ability to access and sync files in the cloud on a desktop, laptop, and handheld device is amazing!
In addition to storing files there are few more tips and tricks we've found with the help of MaximumPC.com. In a recent article they shared some of their ideas for using the amazing app. In particular, we like the idea of using Dropbox to host files for a website or blog. All you have to do is put your public folder, right click on it then select "Copy Public Link," and paste the link onto your website or blog for all to access.
Another great tip is to keep your passwords in Dropbox, safely stored in the cloud. When you use it in conjunction with tools that password protect your files and folders, such as Keepass or 1Password, you'll have all of your security information stored safely for you.
Finally, for those of you that need to share folders, and not just files, with family, friends colleagues, use Dropbox to share folders safely and securely. All you need to do create a folder and select "Share a Folder," and Dropbox automatically emails out invitations to whomever you choose.
Use these tips and tricks in your home or classroom to better store your files, keep passwords safe, and share your folders with all the people that matter most.
