For those of you that Blog there are a few things that are a must. First, you look for the blog to be simple and easy. Simple functions and easy navigation to find them. Second, lots of customizable options. You don't want your site to look like everyone else. Third, gadgets! Being able to embed different gadgets and widgets into your blog is crucial for making all the connections you need with the people who visit your site.
Josh Stumpenhorst over at StumpTheTeacher has come out with a great little video on Blogger. He gives an overview of some of the features he uses. In particular, I found it helpful to see how he embed tables into his blog.
